It’s aways fun to hear DS discussions. The “Door Stop” joke aside, die hard DS users seems to be really, really DIE HARD about their tool of choice. If it went away they’d riot. This coming from a market (nashville) with what seems to be more DSs per capita than anywhere in the world! I’ve never seen so many of them.
I wondered where the DS market was… 😉
Seriously, why Nashville?
I think it’s because we have a very, very aggressive reseller here that did a really great sales job. CMT alone has a slew of them. I think there’s more than a few who installed them and realized they weren’t really the best for offline.
So Terry, tell me again why Symphony should still exist, and what are the “unique features” you are holding your breath for?
Symphony should exist to give Avid a premium income stream that could be applied to R&D to keep it the top of the line. Had they been doing this all along, their product line wouldn’t be in the bad state it currently is.
